Adriaan and Roland, South Africa
"Living on the hilltop of Manzamnyama Village at the Wild Coast for one week in early April 2009 was a really unforgettable experience. The beauty of that place is unparalleled. The great hills of green grass stretching from the horizon and rolling into the ocean were captivating, a place you'd never want to go away from. Me and Roland will never forget that part of our trip through Africa, even if it was such a short stay (which we wished could've been longer). The Wild Coast really epitomizes South Africa's natural beauty, and the region around Manzamnyama is one of the most beautiful places we visited on the Wild Coast. Aiden and Rahel were great. They were friendly and very nice, they even fed us (seeing as we did not think to bring food). And it was real fun hanging out with Johan, who showed us around and invited us on his (unsuccessful) fishing trips. In the nights we made a fire and played cards or made jokes with Johan. The village a minutes walk inland was also very cool, forcing us to learn some Xhosa. The people were friendly and often came and visited us. We explored, swam on the beach, helped dig the dam and some foundations and carry rocks and logs around and just enjoyed the tranquility and silence of the panoramic scenery. Thank you guys, we will definitely visit again!"
