Lungusile (Xhosa): to do things, to get things done

Lungusile is the name Aidan has been given by the villagers, and also the name of the community projects we will be doing in Manzamnyama. There are many needs to be covered, and we will tackle them one by one. What we have already done is started the organical garden, that should eventually grow into a community project where people can learn about gardening or get fresh vegetables if they don't have enough of their own. Recently we also started with the building of the Early Learning Centre, a place for the young children to come and learn some basic things in a playful way. The building can also be used as a meeting hall for the villagers. Other projects to come are a sewing project (teaching local woman to sew and sell the products), the water project (installing central taps for drinking water in the village), a school (with cambridge distance learning courses), arts and crafts projects, and much much more.
